Mesothelioma is a dangerous type of cancer. It is rare as well as fatal. At first, the patient might just feel uneasiness in stomach and this may lead to a disaster. Since this type of cancer is difficult to detect as it may seem a normal stomach problem suffered by the patient. Majority of the victims think that this is just a minor stomach problem and can be cured easily. Everything gets revealed when they go for various tests and then the severity of the disease comes to the edge.

Majority of the patients come to know about this disease after a long time and when they come to know, it becomes too late. Nothing can be done about it. However, it depends on the duration of the cancer cells spreading in one’s body. If the cancer is detected at the right time, then it can be cured by using various sources such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation but if the duration is for long, then it is difficult for the person to survive and live for long.

Mesothelioma survival rate depends on the age factors along with the duration of cancer. If it is chronic, then it will be hard for a patient to survive or even fight for his life. On an average, severely affected patients live up to one year when they are in their final stages. From the late 1980s, the current mesothelioma survival rate is up to 20% starting from 7%. To conclude, a patient can live up to (max to max) five years. This form of cancer is considered as the worst in all cancers as it cannot be detected easily and also, cannot be treated easily too. This cancer eats the chest of the patient from inside by leaving a fatal cavity which cannot be treated or cured easily.
